National Garden Scheme - Hookshouse Pottery - 2nd June - 10th June

Hookshouse Pottery near Tetbury a combination of dramatic open perspectives and intimate corners.  Borders, shrubs, woodland glade and water garden containing treatment ponds (unfenced). Art and craft exhibition including garden sculptures. Wheelchair access to part of garden, dogs on leads allowed, plants for sale.  Refreshments available. Open 11am-6pm, Adm £3, Child Free.  

 

Mayfair Collection 5th Annual Art Exhibition & Sale - 2nd June - 4th June

An opportunity for the public to buy direct from well known International and Local Artists.  Dolphin Hall, New Church Street, Tetbury GL8 8DS.  10am - 5pm, Admission Free.  Charity supported 'Friends of Tetbury Hospital'.

 

Folk Concert at Tetbury Market Hall - 2nd June

For one night only Heather Bristow, Terry Helyar and Nicola Clark with Colin Sillence guitar +percussion supremo. Doors Open 7pm for 7.30pm start ends at 10.30 with 15mins interval. Exhibition 'As You Like It' at Hookshouse Pottery - 2nd June - 10th June

Jubilee Celebrations - 3rd June

Thanksgiving Service at 11am followed by a parade to The Chipping. The Tetbury Big Lunch at 12.30 in The Chipping.  Bring your own food or buy hot food. To reserve a table phone Liz Truman at Volunteer Centre on 01666 502514 Tu - Th 9am - 1pm. Jubilee French Market in the Market Place.

 

Woolsack Day - 4th June

Woolsack races & street fair. St Mary's Memorabilia Exhibition. All day funfair until evening in The Chipping. Lighting of Jubilee Beacon on St Mary's tower at 10pm.

National Garden Scheme - Hodges Barn - 10th June - 11th June

Hodges Barn, Shipton Moyne near Tetbury is a very unusual C15 dovecote converted into a home. Roses, clematis and hydrangeas together with yew hedges, create formality around the house.  Mixed shrub and herbaceous borders, water garden and woodland garden to side of house.Wheelchair access to part of garden, dogs on leads allowed. National Garden Scheme - Matara Meditative Gardens - 10th June

Matara Meditative gardens at Kingscote are dedicated to the symbolic and cultural role of trees. Chinese Scholar garden, Japanese Tea garden, Shinto woodland, Celtic wishing tree and much more make this garden special. Refreshments available, open 1pm-5pm Adm £6, Child £3.

Beaufort Polo Club - Country Fair - 16th June - 17th June

Plan B (Ben Drew) singer-songwriter, rapper, actor and film director came to prominence with the 2006 release of the critically acclaimed hip hop album "Who Needs Actions When You Got Words". Sherston Open Gardens - 23rd June - 24th June

A number of gardens in Sherston will be open from 1pm - 5pm on Saturday 23rd and from 2pm - 5pm on Sunday 24th. On Saturday there will be stalls. raffles and childrens activities around the Church. Teas will be served in the church from 2pm-5pm on both days. Tickets £5 including tea and cake. In aid of Holy Cross Church.

 

Westonbirt Concert - Madness - 24th June

Madness had huge hits in the 80's going on to spend more weeks on the charts in that decade than any other group.  Renowned for their storming out door live shows they will be performing at Westonbirt National Arboretum near Tetbury.
